WOWOW!!!!...... A whopping 28 Nuffers came out for the Coke Zero 400 on a rare Sunday Afternoon race in the NRL!! And check out how close these cars were.... the fastest qualifier time was 48.005... 26 cars later... your time was still UNDER 1/2 second from the pole sitter!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!

Both tracks were done in just 2:30 hours and when the dust settled.... the Top 3 Ranked Nuffers....ironically starting in the top 3 positions.... also finished in the top 3!! WHOA.... no upsets today huh...lol

It was TheGift... ranked number 2 in the 2009 Sprint Cup Power Rankings... winning his first restrictor plate win of his career. WOW.... that's hard to believe!! Many of you Nuffers know TheGift well... and have witnessed many a victory by this young stud.... You woulda thunk.... ya THUNK he had a Superspeedway Win right?!?!? Track Officials reported that TheGift ran just a perfect race... keeping that #31 car clean as a whistle while many other Track A Nuffers had to fight through damage.... GREAT JOB GIFT !!!!

Betchall can't guess who was the runner up.... AGAIN....lol...  YUP... For the 5th straight race....Sir Abbotttazz (3) finished one behind the winna!! Can you believe that?!?!?! Your 2 time AND Defending Champ was also strong throughout... and was in position to challenge TheGift during a green/white/checker run...but... a caution came out in the back of the field.... and that wazzzzz it. Abbott hasn't won yet this year but I wouldn't bet against the NRL Champ!! Just like he did last year... starting a bit slow and then taking over during the second half... Abbott seems to be ready for the Chase and a THREE PEAT !!! Good Job Abbott

Your Top Ranked Nuffer DaleReynolds also raced very well after missing the race at New Hampshire... taking 3rd place while leading the most laps. So Dale did not lose any ground on Abbott as both tallied 175 pts in the results!!

Rounding off the top 5 were 20th ranked ScoutChuck and 14th ranked Purity52... Both gained 2 more positions in the overall standings and are not far away at all from those coveted 12 slots in preparation for the CHASE !! Good Job Boyzzzz

Now... ova on Track B.... It was 34th ranked IPC ColeYounger.... letting the NRL know he is alive and kickin with a strong win!! IPC Cole worked very well with Walt Hamrick (7th) over the final 15 laps....and kept the duo of Reindeer and Mwils1....also working very well together... at bay. The front duo maintained a 3.5 second lead over the back duo until there was just 2 laps to go... then Cole said... thanks Walt... turned his hat backwards.... got down in a "low-run" and took off for the checker flag!!lol...With the Win... Cole earned 15 bonus points and a guaranteed slot on Track A next week at Chicagoland. CONGRATS IPC COLEYOUNGER !!!!!!!!!!

Walt raced very well...settling for 2nd place while Reindeer held off Mwils in a mad dash to the line to round off the top 3 on track B!!!

PRO-AM UPDATE

Well Nuffers..... we did the "flip flop" this weekend...lol. We let the Pros go first as the Nascar Boys ran their Coke Zero 400 on Saturday Night.... and boy were there Fireworks in that one !!!! Man I'm so glad everyone is OK.... or at least as well as they can be after that ending!! I bet come of those boys gotta be extra sore after running that many laps... let alone having an "arcade" like crash up derby on the final lap!!

xCablemanx's Partner Tony Stewart took the Pro Running... and with similar skillzz as his pro partna...Cable was in position to match Tony on our Running. Ahhhh Cable ended up with a short afternoon and a 24th place finish overall.... BUT that win by Tony held up the Duo... who finished 3rd with 286 combined points.
