Aight Nuffers... School is BACK IN
SESSION.... lol !! And Once again...
I got my Pen and Pad Ready!!
The scene this week was the Sharpie
500 at Bristol Motor Speedway!! There was plenty of
excitement for this short track race. Even the NRL
Officials were on edge since this would be our first
time running manual cautions on a short track. 26
Nuffers came out to race 3 tracks with what some would
call....surprising... maybe even shocking results...
from the Sharpie winner to the track C race...lol. OK
maybe not shockers as these Nuffers just continue to get
better and better and better... but to add excitement to
this boring a$$ article... we'll call em Shockas..lol
SO let's start with
Shocka/Lesson Number 1...
During Prequals... Kelley1996... your
2009 Sharpie 500 Winner... qualified well down on Track
B... and was able to move up to track A during roll
call!!! Matter of fact... FOUR Track B Nuffers took
advantage of some track A slots that opened to move up
and vastly improve their chances of not just getting a
good finish... but actually winning the dang thaing !!!
"I can't believe I'm on track A" remarked Kapalua2483...
who qualified 7th on track B. YUP YUP... it pays to make
roll call huh...lol. So I had a feeling sompin special
was about to happen during the race.
Now Kelley was not the fastest Nuffer
on the track... but as usual.. he had a plan... stay out
of trouble and make them tires last. And that's exactly
what he did as he mentioned in the post race interview
"Sometimes the fastest car is not the best c ar....I
have found that you need to be there in the end...driver
and car" SHONUFF Kelley was there at the end...
found an opportunity with about 50 laps to go... and
only then did Kelley pin his ears back and took off for
his 4th Win of the 2009 Sprint Cup Season!!!! Boy it was
a nice Pay Day for Kelley... who is now ranked 2nd in
the Sprint Cup Top 15 Power Rankings.. removing TheGift
from that honor...lol... GREAT JOB KELLEY!!!
Shocka/Lesson Number 2...
Your Pole Winner.... I'll give you 10
guesses.... and you'll get them all wrong...lol. But you
know what? Not if you didjo research!! Not only did he
get his first pole in the 2009 season... he set a new
prequal lap record with a sterling 14.692...taking out
the record of 14.777!! Who?!?!! This Nuffer is coming
back from a nasty accident last year that put him out of
action for a long while... still being hampered a bit..
he has come back strong... WHO??? Here is a Pre-race
quote... "Oh that record is goin DOWN...Did I tell
you I LOVE Bristol?"..LOL... And if you did your
research... you'd find that TBDesigns holds the old CUP
Record!! Well... NOW he holds the COT Record !!! Good
Job TB... and to boot... TB finished a strong 4th!
Shocka/Lesson Number 3...
Not really a shocka as I said before... but it is
noteworthy because it's not one of your regular Nuffers
that get all the ink week in and week out...lol. And
that's cool Nuffer Sinnerslikeme!! Sinners was not sure
he was even gonna be able to make the race...but he made
it for his first track A appearance via prequal since
his return!!!! Man Sinners was AWESOME all week long...
first gaining that Track A spot and then making the best
of it with a STRONG 3rd place finish !!! "I had
a really good car just took it easy the first 400 laps
letting people go savin some for the last 100 laps
car... was ok on long runs but I knew Kelley's car was
better on the long runs I'm happy to get a top five...
maybe I'm getting my setups better after being off for
months this was my 1st A room I've qualified for so far"
YA YA Sinners... first of many big dawg!!!!!
Shocka/Lesson Number 4...
How bout your Track
C Winna getting a overall top 10?!?!!? Uh huh.... now
that is HOT !!! It's so hard to try to manage a league
where you only can get 14 racers on a track... and we've
done whatever we can to allow lower tracks to have
a chance at great results without taking away the aura
of having the one BIG WINNA each week... Well
xXChuck1979Xx... who prequaled for Track A by the way...
missed roll call due to technical problems...so he had
to concede his track A slot... BUT... Chuck decided to
come back for Track C and guess what... he won track
C...gained 15 bonus points to add to his Top 10 Finish!!
From Track C.... Now Dats a Shocka !!! "Man..I finished
18th after starting on Track A...maybe I shoulda ran
track B or C..lol" Said Mwils1.
OK eNUFF Shockas fellas.... again
just a wonderful week of racing.
Let's also give it up to
DaleReynolds... who finished 2nd and regained control of
the overall lead with just 2 races left before the
Chase!!! As well... Dale did an AWESOME Job officiating
track A as the EA servers again tried to manipulate the
race... But Dale kept a cool head and made sure the EA
crap was minimized!!!
Also xCablemanx.... for taking Track B... which ran the
entire race G reen
by the way..... WHOA !! Man I wish Cable could race with
us more... his schedule just won't allow it but he's
just an Awesome Racer and anudda one to learn a lot
from.... And ReindeerIV...a potential new team owner as
we prepare for the big Team Tourney... took 2nd on track
B while Dart88 continues to improve...finishing 3rd!
Also Thanks Triples for hosting track B!
IPC Billy took 2nd on track C while Drivin finished off
the top 3!!! GREAT JOB BOYS !!!!
Oh... Before we get to the results...
lets give a shout out to Drivin... who is host to an
online radio show!!! Drivin will be introducing a NRL
Prerace Show very soon!!! Man I can't say it eNuff....
everyone just keeps stepping forward to keep the NRL
poppin...
Hard Drivin' Productions is looking to
air our first pre-race show on 9/12/09 @ 1pm ET to
kick off "This is How We Roll" 400 @
Richmond. If you would like to participate or possibly
