Takes Craftsman’s American 200 at Atlanta!!!

WOW Nuffers…..only 3 Cautions over 130 laps ?!?!?!

Another great night of racing as Ijeremy continues his hot pace….taking the number 5 truck to victory lane for the second consecutive Craftsman Truck Race….the American 200 at a very fast Atlanta Motor Speedway !! 

Ijeremy fought off challenges all night long…with BigMike (#86) racing strong and of course…the Tazzzzzman (#29) is always up front. Those three fought all night long…with BigMike leading most of the laps…gaining 10 bonus points. BigMike also took the pole with a strong 28.868 lap during qualifying. But Ijeremy has a way of being a spoiler….In the cup Chase…Abbotttazz dominated the Nextel Series race last weekend at The Glen….but Jeremy snuck past Tazz on the final lap to sneak away with the win….and here…Bigmike took the pole…and led the most laps…but Jeremy pulled away at the end for a 2+ second win…..finishing very strong !!!!  CONGRATS JEREMY !!!!!!

BigMike finished second and Abbott rounded off the top 3. I tell you…..anyone of those three could have easily won this one. Just great strategic racing. At one point….Mwils watched them shoot by around turn 4…and approaching the start/finish line….”they looked like Air Force Jet’s in the triangle formation” Bigmike was up front and close behind…side by side were Jeremy and Abbott….. Just impressive.

Soon after…mwils would see a line of 3 cars…Buster, Pink and the gift…running smoothly and really not that far from the front running triangle.

Yaaaa…Mwils saw a lot of cars pass by him last night!! Matter of fact…at one point…mwils moved over to let the leaders by…and within 2 laps…they were coming through again!!! “Hey….didn’t you guys just pass me???”…..”Yeah” laughed Abbott….”Just make sure you stay outta da way”….lol “How do you fix a truck that’s tight AND loose at the same time?!?!?!?!”   LOL…Welllllll…..Wils only caused 1 caution though he had minimal control all night long!!

OK…back to da race…Buster and Pink took 4^th and 5^th place. Buster had to make an early pit as he was “pushing” too much….but he made the right adjustment and finished strong. The long green runs just didn’t give Buster enough opportunity to catch the speedy threesome of Jeremy, Abbot and Bigmike. Pink was also strong…running with Buster during the long green runs and as usual….staying nice and clean. Thegift…who also ran well during the first half of the race….then he started having a few handling problems during the second half but still finished 6^th.

We lost KMack to an early disconnect and unfortunately…we couldn’t get Pitt Steeler connected. So they finished 8^th and 9^th respectively.

All in all….a good night !!!!
