ABBOTTTAZZ BACK ON TOP IN SEASON OPENER !!!

This week we saw abbotttazz get the first win of his NRL Series career. The quote above is from…errrrrr…..no one….lol.

In one of the most anticipated races in the NRL Nascar Series….abbotttazz has to feel real good after his tough luck finish during the Bud Shootout almost 2 weeks ago. His #31 car was still the car to beat…fighting through several restarts to take the checkered flag !!!

In the post race interviews… TB quickly deflected the attention to Abbotttazz.

TBDesigns….who fought hard to get his car ready for the season opener…can still clearly remember his preseason wins and seemed genuinely happy for the winna !! It’s a great feeling to get through all the tough challenges and actually come out on top !!!

Before this race there was a lot of preparation as 16 Nuffers qualified for track assignments. That process went very smoothly and I appreciate all the Nuffers for their patience as we moved through the process with little trouble

DRAMA???

But of course…… there is always drama in racing !!! 

Both tracks were understandably tense and there were several run-ins during the race. Noooo…we couldn’t wait till after the race to bang on each other’s trailer…. LOL… some of us were ready to pull over and duke it out…lol

Late in the race….a major mishap knocked casamesa out. Wow…….I can see how tough it is to finish a race !!! Casa fought hard and was at or near the front all night……for 190 laps…. but was clipped by the #01 car (Ratty) …causing all hell to break loose. By the time it was over…Casa was towing his car back to the garage……finishing a disappointing 10^th. But Casa….one of the classiest Nuffers in the NRL….was understanding and appreciative that the officials were addressing the incident…and is already looking forward to the next race…..Tyberian..who won the pole...was also affected by a mishap with the #01 car but survived to finish second. good stuff Nuffers !!!

But it gets deeper….according to officials…Ratty had been warned about not communicating several times earlier. As a result…Ratty…who physically finished third….suffered penalties that dropped him 2 positions to 5^th. Now Ratty has the right to an appeal of the decision….if he does so…mwils1 will head a panel of 3 racers from track B…who will review all the FACTS….not opinions..and either uphold the penalty or reverse it. As of now…the results are official as shown in the Nuff Racing Results Page. If there is a change….mwils1 will notify all.

POLININO TAKES TRACK B & 1600 Gamerpoints!!

Now !!!!!  Over on Track B….. Polinino held off mwils1 for a 1.5 seconds lead across the finish line to take 6^th place overall!!! Get this !!!  Polinino and mwils1 had exact qualifying times of 47.500 to share the pole !!!

  oh let em think he won the whole daing thaing...lol

With the white flag waving through lap 199…mwils1 was drafting closely coming into turn 1 of the final lap…but coming out of turn two..mwils1 got a message from his crew that his engine was overheating…and down the back stretch…one quick look by mwils1 at his gauges…sent the #55 car scraping the wall…and that allowed the #26 car to get a lead that mwils1 just could not recover from!!! 

“I’m FIRING that a$$hole on the mic for distracting me on the backstretch of the final lap!!!!” said mwils1. “Shoooot…just let me blow up and burn…..like I did  at the California Race….lol” …

Congrats to Polinino who earned 1600 gamerpoints for is Track B win !!!!!

So…now it’s on to the Auto Club 500….at the California Speedway….scheduled for next Saturday Night at 9:00 PM est. The length will be 50% and the wear factor will be 2x on the Auto Club 500. The tracks will be open at 8:30 PM for warmups with qualifying to start at 8:58 PM (est).

There will be two pre-qualifying dates....Friday 9/14/7 at 10 PM eastern and Saturday 9/15/7 at 6 PM eastern. Nuffers who plan to race the Auto Club 500 need to report in the forums and schedule their pre-qualifying session.

One thing for sure….the pre-qualifying process went very well and will be implemented in the NRL rules or the remainder of the season.
