This was a refreshing race after enjoying a week off for the Thanksgiving Holiday…as 12 cars ran on Track A for the first time in quite a while. The timing of a Truck Race to get everybody back in rhythm turned out to be a blessing in disguise as the schedule was not set with this plan up front.  As much as NRL admins would like to take credit for the timing of this particular race…Running 134 Laps was a perfect homecoming event.

Of the 12 trucks that started the race….there were 8 different leaders..15 total cautions and only 1 restart …WOW!! The connection was generally very smooth and other than losing Razgriz at the beginning (connection problems during the start) and Pinkpooh around lap 11 to an early disconnect…all racers remained online as long as their trucks lasted…lol. 

Other noteworthy newzzzzz !!!

Polinino…in rare form during the race…lol….successfully completed his probationary period and has been officially removed from probation. “I’m Off Probation !!!” Yelled an excited Polinino…and constantly reminded us all not to “Drink n Drive”…lol Did Nino heed his own advice?? LOL

In the race for second place in the overall standings…Jeremy sitting in 3^rd place in the NRL standings…just 23 points behind Buster… got a little closer…finishing just ahead of Buster and in second place. ..gaining 5 points to cut Busters lead to 18 !! A little drama incurred near the end of the race when Buster was distracted a bit by a yielding truck on the apron…and slammed the wall REALLY HARD…as described by Nino..who had a front row seat…but somehow Buster’s #117 Truck survived the hit and was able to finish in 3^rd place !! WOW…Buster could have easily dropped all the way down to 7^th place if his “Tank” had not survived the smack from Mrs Homestead-Abbottazz…LOL… I think what really happened was that Buster tried to make a “pass” at Mrs Homestead – Abbott….behind Tazz’s back… and got smacked…LOL. “I Belong to Abbott”…I thought I heard Mrs Homestead whisper to Buster…lol

Big Mike also gained in the NRL Standings…picking up 4 pts on mwils and now sitting just 3 pts behind mwils for 4^th place overall !!! Mwils…hearing the footsteps of BigMike…will not be able to race as conservatively as he has been if he plans to remain ahead of Big Mike !! “Ammo have to hold my line a little better and make it a bit harder for these NRL racers to pass” …so watch out for mwils…he won’t be so easy to pass in future races !!

Let’s hear it for a few other Nuffers…KCKevin ran a WONDERFUL race in the #99 Truck and recorded his first top 5 finish of the season !!! GREAT JOB KC !!!!!! Allowing all 12 racers on one track definitely benefitted KC..who has been a regular on track B for a while and could only depend on Track A mishaps to move up in race results. Also Kudos to UltimateRob…who has been struggling to finish a race all season!!  This time Robb hung around for 132 or the 134 laps…blowing his engine at the very end..

The NRL welcomes new Nuffer Juggaloryda…though he lost his truck early in the race to engine problems…I can already tell Juggs will be a solid addition to the NRL league.

And so we move on to the final race of the first half !! The Coca Cola 600 ..at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway…to be held on Saturday 12/8/2007 at 9 PM Eastern. We will run prequalifying sessions as normal on Friday 12/7/2007 at 9 PM and Saturday 12/8/2007 at 7 PM eastern...However…we will make a commitment  to accommodate as many racers as possible on Track A…whenever  Possible !!
