Yeah we took some casualties last night in our ongoing war with the EA Servers…But as usual, the NRL finds a way to Giterdun!!! Twelve Nuffers came out for the Chevy Silverado 250 to open NRL’s first Craftsman’s Truck Series. After about two hours in the trenches with the servers…The Daytona Opener finally got started just after 10 PM….10 of the 12 Nuffers that came out were able to race in this one. Unfortunately we just couldn’t get NRL Vet Ijeremy and Newcomer Treydog connected to the race. What a shame…..Once we got started…the race went wonderfully !!! There were no….I said…NO disconnects…and only 16 cautions in this 100 lap race. The exciting race only took 1 hour and 15 minutes !! WHOA !!!

WHO WON THE FIRST EVER NRL CRAFTMAN’S TRUCK RACE??

Big Buster and his Number 6 Truck came out firing in this one…staying out front all night long!! “Wow….he was fast !!” said mwils…Buster started alongside NRL Star Abbotttazz…who established a record with a whopping 48.300 lap during qualifying… when we went Green….Buster fought off many challenges as racers drafted along with him throughout the entire race. Early on…5 Nuffers jumped off to a great start and drafted away from the field over the first 20 laps before the first caution bunched the field back together. The same five Nuffers….Buster, Abbott, Thegift, Smokey and Mwils…got off the block again under green and pulled away until another caution about 10 laps later. Welll….lol…this went on through the first half of the race…with most of the cautions coming from the back of the field. Under green again…Mwils and Buster pulled away…having their own little affair…lol…Mwils got by Buster around lap 40…”yea yea…he let me by”…said mwils (#64)…and then took lessons from Buster on how to hold the bottom line…”Keep it low and Straight wils….Les go !!” said Buster….And the twosome pulled out to a 28 sec lead before the 5^th caution took them both into the pits. Now here is the amazing thing….coming out of the pit…Buster was in 5^th and mwils was in 6^th place when the green flag dropped again. By the time the pack exited turn 2….Buster was in 2^nd place and mwils was in…….6^th….lol.. WOW !

The second half of the race was just as exciting !! With Buster still out front drafting with Smokey……Pinkpooh…in the #08 Truck..got into the mix…drafting with thegift…and a few seconds behind them….Abbott and mwils were trying to catch up. This went on for about 30 laps. Then right around lap 80…Buster lost it a bit on the apron…and Smokey took off for a 4 second lead. With those two out of the draft momentarily…Pink and Gift were gaining ground…”We’re catching up !!” Yelled Gift (#82)…But just like that…Buster was able to catch Smokey and the two of them eloped again…lol..

The field bunched together around lap 90 for a great finish !! Seven of the Ten Trucks were on the lead lap and each one had aspirations of pulling out a victory !! BigMike jumped right in the mix and Abbott was charging hard…the field was so close that mwils..sitting in 3^rd place at lap 97…touched the apron and just like that…he fell back to 7^th place…..just like that !!

Congrats Buster !!!! You Da Man !!! Also MUCH Kudos to several NRL newcomers…Smokey continues to impress with his great driving. Smokey ran a beautiful race !! Starting in 10^th place…he moved up quickly and stayed near the front all night…finishing a strong second. GREAT JOB Smokey !!!  Also Thegift …introducing his shiny #82 Truck…also raced very well and finished in 3^rd place. Pink was impressive as well…coming from a 9^th place starting spot to finish 4^th…. and Abbott…taking a few hits…recovered from damage to round off the top five.

The NRL Welcomed THREE new Nuffers last night…Pitt Steeler…who was very active in assisting the NRL admins fight the EA Servers…many thanks Pitt…thegift and Treydog. Thanks for hanging out with the NRL fellas…Hang tough Trey….we are warriors dawg !!

And so we move on to the San Bernadino Race in California … scheduled next Wednesday 2/20/8 at 8 PM Eastern. The Fortuna Track will open around 7 PM!!
