BUSTER REPEATS AT DARLINGTON!!!

Two Track B Nuffers Finish in TOP FIVE Overall !!

Now doesn’t this look peaceful?? Ya know…safe and secure???  HA !!!!

21 Nuffers had the NERVE to show up in this grueling day of racing the Dodge Avenger 500 at Darlington Raceway!! Those EA Servers were at it again…causing all kinds of havoc but as usual…the NRL perseveres!! GO HED NUFFERS !!!! You guys are hard core and one way or anudda…the EA servers will give it up !!!  Maybe when Nascar 09 comes out…maybe not…lol

The Dodge Avenger 500 was an extremely interesting race…from beginning to end. Naw…we are not talking about the numerous restarts…when EA servers are on the warpath…that’s the norm… We are talking about all the Nuffers involved!!! So let’s get to it !!

HOW BOUT BUSTER !?!?!?!

Check this out….Buster…the Nextel 07-08 winner of the Dodge Avenger race….had little to no chance at this one….why? Cuz Buster was slated to start on Track B after prequals. But due to a coupla no-shows on Track A….Buster…who was a top qualifier on Track B…was able to move up to Track A…along with BigMike. Ohhhhh….we should have known something interesting was gonna happen after that!!! Well…Track A fought through 3 restarts and 9 of the 10 racers who started the race…was still around on the final restart. Buster stayed clean and strong throughout...and when the opportunity arose…Buster jumped out front and took the win to defend his title at Darlington Raceway!!! Unbelievable !!! GREAT JOB OF SURVIVAL BUSTER !!!!!

Osuron was the dominant car of the race…leading 256 laps!!! WHATCHOOSAY? That’s right….256 laps but a mishap with only 14 laps to go took Ron’s suspension…and opened the race for 3 Track A survivors…Buster, Abbott and Nino !!..And that’s how they finished! Man !!!!

Daytona 500 winner DaleReynolds started this one in 6^th and finished 11^th !! That’ll bunch up the standings a bit. TheGift….another story…who won Track B last week by the hair on his chin….didn’t need the guaranteed slot on track A that came with the victory last week…:::THANKS GIFT::::  lol…. As he posted a strong 27.899 prequal time and took the Pole. TheGift led 22 of the first 40 laps but lost his car around lap 147 and finished 16^th in the overall standings.

Abbott continues his long NRL history of strong racing with a great 2^nd place finish while Daytona Polester Polinino had his second consecutive strong week…rounded off the top 3.

Oh…by the way….ABBOTT Broke the NRL COT Lap Record of 27.933…set by Jeremy last year at Darlington with a 27.762 prequal time !! Matter of fact…there were quite a few Nuffers who broke the record…but ABBOTT topped them all!!

Now over on Track B……Nuff Newcomer XxBanditxX took the victory…earning 10 bonus pts and a guaranteed slot on Track A next week at Lowes !!!!!!  HOT DAYUM !!!!

It was just a WILD and CRAZY race over the last 100 laps as four Nuffers…led by rookie XxBanditxX..who fought tooth and nail for the top 3 spots. Very entertaining !!! Bandit’s main challenge was the #11 car of UncleChucke…while Treydog and Mwils hung around to see what would happen. Let me explain a bit more…..The last 100 laps were good long runs with just a few cautions here and there. We really got a chance to appreciate the various car setups. Bandit and his #88 car was always the strongest at the beginning of a fuel run….while Chucke was steady. As the laps would wear down…Chucke’s car would get really strong and would just manhandle this tough Track. In the meantime…Trey and Wils were steady….and every caution that came out gave those two a new chance ….. lol !!!

The only chance Mwils had was to stay on the track each time there was a caution…LOL…and twice almost ran out of fuel….lol…matter of fact….in othe first incident…Mwils was out…and was coasting to a stop trying to get into the pit when a caution came out just in the nick of time…lol!! Trey’s #07 car was pushing all day long and had to take it easy until then end due to a red engine…but Trey went for it at the end….LOL!

With 5 laps to go…Bandit shot out to a small lead…getting by Mwils on the outside…followed by Trey and Chucke…who had a bit of trouble getting by….yeah yeah…Mwils. But those 3 took off for a strong finish over the final 3 laps while Mwils…feeling fortunate just to be in it at the end….had a front row seat. And that’s how they finished…Bandit, Treydog and UncleChucke !!! GREAT RACING FELLAS….

Not only that…but LOOKEEHERE !!!! With only 3 racers on Track A finishing 367 laps…all four Track B finishers move right up in the overall standings….I mean wayyyyy up…..check Treydog out…starting 19^th and finishing 5^th?!?!? Matter of fact…the top four on Track B took over positions 4-7 in the overall standings!!! And with the 10 Bonus Points awarded to Bandit for his Track B win….ohhhh….it’s tight !!!

PHEW….a tough long day of racing fellas…the EA servers were not nice at all….and a few Nuffers did suffer a bit…but overall…we GOTTER DUN !!!
