Ya Boyyyyy...... with just 2 races to go... we have at least 3 Nuffers still in the running for the NRL's 2008 Nextel Cup. Also be mindful that this may be the last Nextel Cup ...as we are changing over to the Sprint Cup in 2009.

So who will take the CUP???

Though many are deserving.... the CUP will only go to the top dawg...lol... and with 3 Nuffers only 70 pts apart.... ohhhhh.... not to mention that the top 2...Abbott and Dale are a mere 3 points apart.... these final 2 races are gonna be tension filled nail biters FOSHO !!!

How did we get here??? Just last week DaleReynolds... Nextel's Number 1 ranked Nuffer in the Nextel Series before the Samsun 500 in Texas this past weekend.... sported what seemed to be a decent 58 point lead over Defending Champ Abbotttazz. But Abbotttazz... who has now taken over as the TOP Ranked Nuffer... Mastered the field at Texas... leading 191 of the 334 laps while cruising to victory lane!! AWESOME Job ABBOTT !!!!

The Samsung 500 was a WONDERFULLY run contest with 14 Nuffers battling strong. The first 100 laps only saw a few cautions and we even had a complete fuel run with all Nuffers safely getting in and out of the pits with just over 100 laps to go!!! Many Nuffers took damage during those first 100 laps...including Chase Leader DaleReynolds... who got spun by New Record Holder Platinum.  That damage put Dale behind the eight ball for the remainder of the race....fighting a red engine and understanding he just needed to "Chug" around the track and try to get a decent finish. Dale..... you should be very proud of you hard work man !! Ya Nuffers.... Dale worked hard and got a top 10 finish!!! That's MAJOR.... cause Abbott put it on us yawl!! As stated before... Abbott lead the most laps to gain an important 10 points to go with his 185 points for the win!! Abbott erased Dales 58 point lead...gaining 61 on Dale with his GREAT performance!!!

Though the Dale-Abbott "saga" remains the most intriguing drama of the series.... we also can't overlook TheGift.... who also fought serious damage and like the great racer he is... Gift still managed a 5th place finish...and is now only 62 points behind Abbott !!! TheGift has to be encouraged by Abbott's great feat... as Abbott was 58 pts behind before the Texas Race. YUP GIFT... you are VERY MUCH in it dawg!!! With 2 races to go... you can even split it up...lol... get 30-40 points next week... then finish it off at the Homestead Finale !!!

Therezzzz More Nuffers !!!! YA.... Mwils1...Dats me.... had the nerve to know what he was doing a lil bit during the race...lol. With 7th ranked DueceyDu and Bustersnm...ranked 5th... heavily breathing down 4th ranked Mwils' back as the 3 fight for 4th and 5th place.... DueceyDu got off the block STRONG... taking care of his car throughout most of the first half.... and led laps early to secure his 5 bonus points and put the pressure on Mwils1. At the time...Mwils1 was doing ok... dealing with some damage and hovering around 9th-10th... he...ok..I decided to make my move with 80 laps to go. The field had just completed a fuel run, resulting in Mwils1 going down a lap.  But a caution finally came out with 60 to go... and the entire field went in...except for Mwils1... who as a result of staying out... was able to get a lucky dawg.... WOOHOO !!!! Not only that... but within a 10 laps.... anudda caution came out.... and guess what Mwils did....lol. YUP... he stayed out while the leaders went in.... Lo and Behold .... Mwils found himself out front,...which earned him 5 IMPORTANT points to balance Duecey. Now his task was to just finish ahead of Duecey and Buster to hold 4th place  in the standings. AND THAT HE DID !!!.... well... almost...lol. MAJOR FUN YAWLLL!!!

How bout BUSTERSNM..... who got in some good racing during the week....something he had been missing over the first 6 races of the Chase. And Boy did that pay off !!! Buster was in TOP Form on Saturday.... racing hard and strong ... posting a second place finish Abbott and just like dat.... Buster is in the running for a top 5 finish in the Series!! Ohhh... But Dueceydu ain't gonna just let Buster sneak by him.... Duecey has been extra strong.... lately and has really found a nice rhythm as we close out the season.

Your 3rd place finisher was BIG MIKE !!!!  YA Mike has also been rolling pretty good lately...following up a Cup Win at Lowes with this performance at Texas. Awesome Mike !!

OK OK....Ahs almost done..... Can't leave without giving it up to Nuff Newcomer Platinum Pigeon.... who has etched his name in the NRL record books...at least for now...lol... setting a lap record for COT with a sterling 29.812 qualifying time. Platinum lost connection at lap 156 but he did lead 8 laps to earn 5 bonus points while finishing 12th.

Also give it up to IPC BillyThekid... racing in his first NRL race... The Kid also dealt with early damage and eventually fell out of the race at alp 203. But Billy raced very clean and earned much respect from the NRL vets. After we lost Billy...I heard several Nuffers compliment him on his great work on the track!!!

So off we head to Phoenix for the Subway Fresh 500....race number 9 of 10!!! I CAN'T WAIT !!!! The last time we were at Phoenix....IJeremy won in the cup cars. As well.... The NRL's TOP Ranked Nuffers has 3 wins combined at Phoenix. Abbotttazz has 2 wins here...:::uh oh:::...lol and TheGift also has a win in the desert. But this will be our first COT race!! As far as I can tell....this is ANYONE's race... I know for sure Dale, Gift and Abbott will be ready. And I have 2 solid Nuffers to fend off myself in Duecey and Bustersnm....... BRING IT BOYZZZZZ...
