IJEREMY TAKES BUD SHOOTOUT IN SEASON OPENER

The weather....ok ok...lag problems...lol.... was much better tonight as 10 drivers showed for the Bud Shootout !! Despite a very rough start during lap 1...where we had 11 of our 23 cautions...and a few restarts due to ...yep...cautions...the race went extremely well. The race took 1 HR and 41 mins. There were 13 lead changes.

 Ya we had a very rough start with those 11 cautions in the first lap. Definitely something we need to continue addressing. Several cars received early damage...which can be devastating on a track like Daytona. Fortunately...most cars survived the early mess and the rest of the race was wonderfully performed. Even the restarts were executed with great success and we were able to pick right up where we left off...positions and all. Just great racing fellas. 

Now Let's Get to the Winna !!!!

Ijeremy was magnificent at the end...running his pits perfectly and fighting off challenges from five different racers over the final 20 laps !!! Jeremy kept his #10 car near the front all night...running along with tough luck abbotttazzz (#31)...who probably had the fastest car on the track and led for 77 of the 120 laps. GREAT JOB JEREMY AND CONGRATS !!!

I say tough luck Tazz because he was the man most of the night !! He won the pole with a whopping 47.229 lap time during qualifying...followed by casamesa (47.366) and mwils (47.504). Right around lap 101...Tazzz... sitting out front...all of a sudden took off right into the wall. We all know what that meant....yep...the EA Server took one of our drivers. Not only that...but apparently the EA server tried to put the blame on the track host...yours truly...but messaging Tazz that he was booted from the race?? I didn't even know you could boot a driver in the middle of the race. I was sitting in 4th place and closing in when the mishap occured. All the racers scrambled to recover after watching the #31 car run  up the wall and dissappear...and somehow...we all made it through safely..all the while trying to figure out what happened. Very unfortunate because the #31 car was definitely the car to beat.

OK fellas....Back to the garage !!! We have about 10 days to get ready for the Daytona 500....There is much work to be done in preparing for this 100% normal wear race
