Ijeremy Continues Streak With Victory at Atlanta to Setup Showdown at Dega !!!! 

With his 7^th Victory of the NRL Nextel 07-08 Series, Ijeremy and his #1 Car is now primed for the big finale at Dega next week…the final race of the season !!! Though Front runner Abbotttazz still has a sizable lead going to Dega, this is not a “Gimmee” for Tazz !! Ijeremy needs a win to put the pressure on Tazz…who simply has to stay clean.

More on that later….now…let’s congratulate Ijeremy…who really dominated the Georgia 500…leading 210 of the 325 laps to also gain the 10 bonus points. Jeremy’s car seemed to get stronger and stronger as the race progressed !! With Bigmike and Abbott fighting for position behind Jeremy…all the #1 car had to do over the final 20 laps was stay clean and ALONE !!!...lol…

CONGRATS JEREMY….AGAIN !!!!

8 Nuffers showed for this one…with all eight posting sub 28.600 qualifying times…this one had the making of a very close race. Matter of fact…7 of the 8 racers led at least 1 lap to gain bonus points !! Now here’s the crazy part…2 of the 3 Nuffers who posted sub 28 second laps during qualifying were gone pretty early !!! Thegift took the pole with a whopping 27.773 lap…establishing a NEW RECORD for Nextel Cup cars..and Snopro posted an impressive 27.933 lap. Both racers were gone by lap 71 !?!? The remaining six Nuffers…all “Cup Chasers”…ran strong throughout the remainder of the race until Buster lost his engine with 25 laps to go.

The main drama story was the continued rivalry of BigMike….who has really come on strong…and Big Time Racer Abbotttazz…Over the past few weeks…those two have been scratching and clawing at each other…competing really hard!!!! Of course that aggressive racing has caused some tense moments between the two. Abbott is trying to finish an extremely strong season with the Cup…and Big Mike is fighting for position and  as stated before…has established himself as a regular frontrunner over the past 10 races !!! Wellll….in this one…with 15 laps to go…BigMike was on Abbott’s bumper….trying to get around Tazz’s #31 car. But Abbott was not having it !! Blocking every attempt by BigMike to get by. “You’re playing a dangerous game” said Big Mike….getting a bit frustrated at not finding a way around Tazz. “What do you expect?!?!” said Tazz...alluding to the fact that there were less than 10 laps to go. BigMike finally felt he found a seam coming out of turn 2 but Abbott tried again to close to lane…but was too late and ended up getting spun by the Charging #21B car of BigMike. “*&@(&^$(&@$^(“...said BigMike.....”Oh yeah?....&*^(&@#$^(@&”” shot back Abbott…..

LOL !!!!

Fortunately for Abbott…he survived the spin out and was able to finish in 3^rd while BigMike finished 2^nd.

Now Abbott has a challenge ahead of him….with the bitter taste of the mishap…he has to move forward and stay focused on the task at hand. All Tazz has to do is stay clean at Dega….and post a top 5 finish that SHOULD slam the door on Jeremy. Now Jeremy will need a win at Dega and Abbott to finish somewhere lower than 6^th place to win the CUP. Oooohhhh….you guys don’t wanna miss this one !!!

Mwils…in his first race since relocating his headquarters to Texas…completed more than 1 lap this time….lol….and finished in 4^th place…while steady man KCKevin rounded off the top 5. Both Wils and KC gained a spot in the results after Buster…who fought with his #16 car throughout most of the final 50 laps after losing his front toe….finally lost his engine while in 4^th place. So Buster finished in 6^th place.

SO NUFFERSSS !!!! It’s come down to the Big Finale in Dega, the UAW Ford 500…a COT Race !!! Let’s take a look at the “saga” we will all be watching closely…

Keep in mind that we need to add the results from the Georgia 500 to the current standings….so correct me if I’m wrong on these projections…But let’s play wit em anyway!!

ABBOTT vs JEREMY !!!

Lesseeee….After the last race…Jeremy picked up 25 points in the overall standings so it looks like Abbott still has a

35-40 point lead over Jeremy….so what has to happen???

Abbott – Just needs to stay clean….and finish with at least 155 points..or 5^th place (no laps led)..or 6^th place with at least 1 lap led to secure the Cup !!!

Jeremy – Needs a Win AND to lead the most laps…and Abbott to finish lower than 5^th place
